As New Zealand’s leading social finance organisation, Prometheus is part of a global network of banks and similar organisations. Two of Europe’s leading social banks – Triodos Bank based in the Netherlands but active internationally, and Gemeinschaftsbank in Germany – are investors in Prometheus. Both have a similar mission to Prometheus and their investment is meant to help Prometheus’ own development and increase the use of social finance in New Zealand. more »

Prometheus has been involved in social lending for many years and we actively promote this nationally. Social lending is becoming increasingly well understood in New Zealand however the term social enterprise remains less well known. more »
Many Prometheus readers will be aware that Piko Wholefoods, now in its 32nd year, was set up as an outlet for organically grown produce and grew quickly into a vegetarian wholefoods retailer with shops in Christchurch and more recently in Lyttelton. more »
