Dr Lanne Johnson established this company to manage the manufacture and distribution of his three-stage gravity fed household composting system.
The well-aerated system allows a natural aerobic breakdown of organic garden and kitchen wastes, limits greenhouse gas emissions and produces a friable compost without turning. The system is designed to be worm-friendly but is a different methodology to a worm farm.
Prometheus took on a small loan to Dr Johnson when his original lender, the recycling loan provider Recycloanz closed it's doors and merged with Prometheus. We were pleased to take this loan onto our books as Dr Johnson's composter design is widely regarded as a particular effective one.
The composting bins are available at a range of garden and hardware stores. You can find more information on the company website (www.earthmaker.co.nz)
